In this tutorial you will learn how to create a database using the cPanel®.
How to create a Database
In order to create a MySQL database, follow the steps below.
Step 1. Visit greatfxmedia.com. From the main menu, click on Support.
Step 2. Log in to your account in the client area by click on Account then on Login as shown below:
Step 3. Once logged in click on Services then on My Services as show below.
Step 4. Under my products, find the hosting account you want to create a database for and click View Details as shown below.
Step 5. On the next page, under the Information tab you will see all the details of the package you have selected. At the bottom, click on Login to cPanel® as shown below.
Step 6. Your cPanel® will open. Scroll down to the heading Databases. Click on the icon MySQL Database Wizard.
Step 7. Create your new database. On the next page is Step 1 of the MySQL Database Wizard. Enter a name for you new database and click Next Step.
Step 8. Step 2. Create a user for your new database. The username for your database can be up to 7 characters long. Select a password. It is strongly recommended that you use the password generator. Be sure to write your new password down. Once a password has been created and selected, click on Create User.
Step 9. Step 3 is adding your new user to your new database. This step also assigns permissions to your user for your new database. Select All Privileges and select Next Step.
Step 10. Step 4, Complete the task. Your new database is set up and ready for use. Be sure to write down the username and the database name for future reference.
